Thankfully, follow up Middle-earth: Shadow of War will extend far beyond Mordor, presenting players with a far larger and more varied open world, which you can check out in an all-new trailer. A description of the trailer from the Warner Bros. interactive press release follows. They're keeping that party going today with a new video that focuses on the various locations players will visit.
Due out on August 25, Shadow of War is the sequel to the third-person Ork slasher Shadow of Mordor. The timeline of Shadow of War unfolds between the pivotal events of The Hobbit andThe Lord of the Rings, with the ambitious role-playing game's impressive scope spanning Tolkien territories from Seregost to Gorgoroth. But the new two minute trailer showing off various parts of the open world has at least two or three different biomes to enjoy. Who could've thought such nightmarish locations could look so lovely? Monolith is promising a unique world for each player thanks to the Nemesis System.
An extended version of the Nemesis system has been promised.
Middle Earth: Shadow of War and its hordes of murderous orcs will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on August 22.
Most of us had a jolly time mind-controlling Orcs in Shadow of Mordor, but many also wondered "could it be less brown?"
