Rangers fans react to Neil Lennon's criticism of 'average' Pedro Caixinha

One of the many players being linked with a transfer to Rangers is Aberdeen star Ryan Jack but to quash rumors that the attacker is heading to the Ibrox Stadium, manager Derek McInnes has revealed that the talented midfielder is not keen on joining Pedro Caixinha's team anytime soon.

'Rangers should be finishing second with the budget they have, there's no doubt about that.

"I find it unusual that he feels the need to talk about Aberdeen so much", said McInnes in a press conference. I think Derek has done a fantastic job and he's right Rangers should finish above Aberdeen and he should not be talking about what Aberdeen are doing, about cycles.

"We all have a different way of managing and I think he likes to say what the Rangers fans want to hear".

'They should be embarrassed they've not finished second.

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon, a former Celtic player and coach, has caused a fair few headlines with his scathing criticism of Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha.

The Portuguese not only implied Aberdeen had reached their peak, he also broke an unwritten rule by going public on his desire to sign another club's player, namely Dons captain Ryan Jack.

"But I don't think they should be delighted with finishing second in the league". We all talk a great game about tactics and formations and this that and the other, it's a results driven business. I think that's how the majority of people manage. Praised for his leadership and consistency by Caixinha, the Rangers boss is hopeful of tying down the 25-year-old on a pre-contract agreement despite Jack telling McInnes he would prefer a move to the English Championship.

Rangers fans were disgusted with the performance of Jon Toral following his display against Aberdeen on Wednesday night at Ibrox.

"I have a good relationship with Ryan and he has indicated to me his preference is England if he leaves here".

"I have got to take him at his word on that".
