Mkhitaryan singled out by Mourinho in Man United training

JOSE MOURINHO HAS taken aim at Arsene Wenger in his post-match press conference following Manchester United's defeat to Arsenal.

Monday marked four years since Ferguson announced his retirement after nearly 27 years in charge at Old Trafford, and, after the forgettable tenures of David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, United finally has a manager of Ferguson's gravitas in Mourinho.

United will get a final chance to break their duck away from home against the Premier League's big-hitters next weekend when they travel to face Tottenham in the final game to be played at White Hart Lane. I don't think Celta want it more than us.

United, a three-time European champion and 20-time English champion, leads 1-0 from the first leg in Spain last week.

"I leave Highbury they were crying". The Arsenal fans were finally cheering and singing and it is nice for them.

"'I knew we were going to win it' and have two trophies". I am not enjoying that, honestly.

"Wenger is not a small manager". It's not normal, and I really don't care about it.

"Of course you want to play every game".

"I think in terms of motivation, we are even", the United manager said.

Tuanzebe admitted that Mourinho "gave me on task to stay with Alexis" which is not an easy task.

The former Liverpool defender criticised Mourinho's negative approach that has seen them struggle to break into the top four.

"The team that Mourinho fielded on Sunday should be more than capable of beating Arsenal, and we all saw what happened there". They walk in the streets with their head low.

Sunday's defeat leaves United four points behind rivals Manchester City in fourth place, and five points from Liverpool in third, albeit with a game in hand over the Anfield club.

"We are in a situation now and we have to fight so let's see if tomorrow we can do it and go to the final". This week, he reflects on his return from injury at Arsenal and insists the Reds must remain focused and positive going into Thursday's Europa League decider.

More accustomed to competing for Champions League titles, United are bidding to reach the final of Europe's second-tier competition for the first time in their history. We needed to rest players.
