John Wall says 'it's not a satisfying season' after Game 7 loss

Kelly Olynyk walked off the parquet floor with 97 ticks left on the clock Monday night to a resounding ovation after he had poured in a playoff career-high 26 points during Game 7, which included 14 during the fourth quarter.

Celtics advances to the Eastern Conference finals, where it will host the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 on Wednesday.

Unlike numerous previous games in this series, it was the Celtics who jumped out to the early advantage, leading 10-2 after the first few minutes. The Wizards bench defensive rotations were sad, which helped Olynyk get clean looks.

Wall was just 2-of-13 from the field in the second half, 1-of-8 from beyond the arc, and missed on his final 11 attempts. "It was a team effort, hard work".

He got a standing ovation as the Celtics let him come back into the game with 8 seconds left as Isaiah Thomas came off the court, and it's rare to say that I.T. wasn't even the most important player of the night. They will host Game 1 against the defending National Basketball Association champion Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night. "I've seen them play before". The last time he scored 20 points was January 13, and that was his only 20-point game this season.

Washington's starting five - Wall, Bradley Beal, Otto Porter, Markieff Morris, Marcin Gortat - were +9 in 32 minutes, with a true shooting percentage of 62.3.

Washington's bench also submitted their worst performance of the seven-game series, as Bojan Bogdanovic's five points were the only ones scored by the backups. The run grew to 22-5 in the opening minutes of the fourth as the Celtics' lead became 94-81.

"I love him. I love how he plays", Washington coach Scott Brooks said. Then Olynyk took over.

However, Olynyk would score 7 of the Celtics next 9 points as they would cruise to the win in the final minute.

The Celtics won the first two games of the series, despite falling behind by double-digits early in both cases.

Boston's biggest problem was being 3-of-12 from three in first half, and that allowed the Wizards to have a 55-53 lead at the half.

The Wizards Dropped to 6-5 all time in Game 7s and have not reached a conference final since 1979. After that first huddle, the Celtics wasted no time breaking out the big guns - or at least, one of the Big Three when the game operations staff played a hype-up video from Kevin Garnett. They weathered all that the Washington Wizards had to give and survived in a 115-105 victory at a deafening TD Garden.

Cleveland's lone loss to the Celtics was a 103-99 decision at TD Garden on March 1.

"I knew it would be a big-time game tonight".

Game 3: Sunday, May 21, 8:30 p.m. They combined for 59 points in Game 6.

Thomas tallied 27 assists over the last three games, and his playmaking ability proved to be a key factor in the C's winning two of the last three contests of this seven-game series. After a series in which he was the best player on the court, Wall's speed went from warp to mortal.
