To be specific, both card collections and player progress in Gwent will have their slates wiped clean, and the closed beta period will end two days beforehand on May 22, 2017 so that servers can be prepared for the game's fresh start. But that will change soon, because the public beta for Gwent was announced today, and will start next week. Everyone who participated in the Closed Beta will receive Card Kegs, as well as other in-game rewards for their activity. Scheduled to begin May 24, Public Beta will be available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
While the whole "beta" tag means that a game is still undergoing testing, these events also serve as a promotion opportunity.
CD Projekt RED confirmed today that the GWENT The Witcher Card Game public beta will begin next week, on May 24th.
Severs will be offline between May 22nd and May 24th while the team tranisitions over to open beta. Players must choose a faction-Nifgaardian Empire, Skellige, Monsters and more-then battle head-to-head with carefully constructed decks filled with spells, units, special abilities and tricks to take the game. During this time, GWENT's Facebook and Twitter channels will provide updates on the game's status. It develops and publishes video games for personal computers and video game consoles. That could open the game up to a new audience, especially those that played The Witcher III: Wild Hunt on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
