At least one killed as tornado tears though dozens of Oklahoma homes

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says at least 20 people were injured when a tornado hit a mobile home park near Chetek in western Wisconsin.
Fallin's office says the governor will arrive in Elk City about noon Wednesday to meet with emergency responders and tour the damaged area. A tornado in northwestern Wisconsin destroyed a mobile home park, killing one man.
Elk City Public Schools were canceled for Wednesday, the school system said in a statement.
The tornado in Barron County, Wisconsin killed a resident.
A tornado struck a rural area in western Oklahoma, leaving damage in its wake but no immediate reports of injuries. He told the Eau Claire newspaper the Prairie Lakes Estates trailer park is a mess and they were still searching Tuesday night.
Several tornado warnings were issued as severe thunderstorms moved east across western Wisconsin.
In Elk City, a community of about 13,000 people roughly 110 miles (180 kilometers) west of Oklahoma City, Matt Bynum considers himself lucky.

Fitzgerald described the scene to KMSP-TV as "total devastation" and said first responders could hear people yelling for help when they arrived.
Several poultry barns at a turkey processing plant across the street were badly damaged, and turkeys could be seen wandering in the debris.
Danny Ringer, with the Elk City Fire Department, said the person died near Highway 34 and Highway 152.
Manning said the same tornado that came from the southwest hit the Elk City housing addition Fairway near the municipal golf course.
Smith says another round of severe storms is forecast Thursday and Friday, with more tornadoes possible.
