Conrad Hilton charged over alleged vehicle theft

Conrad's family was also on hand at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center on Wednesday when their son arrived for his appearance, with parents Rick and Kathy along with their youngest child Barron arriving a little after 10am to support Conrad in his latest legal battle.

Fortunately for him, the judge dealing with the heir's case agreed to let him go for a $90,000 bail if he was released under father Rick Hilton's custody.

"He is not to leave the Menninger hospital unless he is to be placed in another medical or mental health facility", the judge said.

His arraignment has been postponed to June 29.

The 23-year-old heir to the Hilton hotel empire was charged in Los Angeles on Tuesday with breaching a court order to keep away from two homes in the Hollywood Hills, prosecutors said.

Hilton was in court after he was arrested recently outside his ex-girlfriend's house on suspicion of grand theft auto and for violating a restraining order made by the ex-girlfriend. E! News reports that Hilton was mouthing the words "f**k you" and "I hate you" to his mother and father, who were seated nearby during the arraignment. I do not have sex with hookers and I'm sorry'.

Hilton is charged with a felony count of taking or driving a vehicle without consent and misdemeanor charges of contempt of court and violating a restraining order.

Upon his arrest on 8 May, TMZ caught footage of Hilton releasing a homophobic tirade against the police officers.

In a video shared by TMZ, Conrad looked agitated in the dock and was seen shouting at people in the public gallery. He allegedly attempted to break into her home one month after the order was filed.

He was also sentenced to three years' probation after a 2014 altercation where he slapped and threatened to kill several flight attendants.
