Only the most unlikely of turnarounds can prevent Real Madrid from reaching a second straight Champions League final when they travel across town to face local rivals Atletico on Wednesday.
Real, who have a great edge thanks to Ronaldo's hat-trick, will play the final Derby with Atletico at the ancient Vicente Calderón before Rojiblancos move to a new Stadium in the summer.
"I'm not thinking we're not going to score, the opposite in fact. We have our own weapons, and always try very hard things, but nobody will stop until the referee blows his whistle to finish the game". "It means we are doing well".
In that time he has led Atletico to their first league title in 18 years, ended a 14-year winless streak against Real and put the club back on the map in Europe. For four consecutive seasons team Diego Simeone stops in the Champions League is on the neighbors of the "Real". We respect all these campaigns and all that is being said, but it will not change anything. However, he did not shoot or have a touch inside Madrid's box in the first leg. They are two different games, we were beaten the other day and the following days have been hard.
Hernandez, whose brother Lucas is also at Atletico, has spent the season on loan to La Liga side Deportivo Alaves, making 36 appearances across all competitions for the tenth placed side.
Real have beaten Atletico in the Champions League in the past three seasons, including in the 2014 and 2016 finals.
"We trust what we can do, I trust a lot in my players", the Atletico coach said at a press conference.
Hernandez will join Real at the end of the season while his parent club set to try and overturn a three goal deficit against Real in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"The fans shows us so much love and support, we have to show we can match their standards". Most recently, Saints have played to a pair of drab 0-0 draws against Hull City and Liverpool, the latter of which saw the Saints hang on for dear life under a relentless Reds attack.
Real Madrid are still without Gareth Bale and Dani Carvajal, who pulled a hamstring in the first leg, but Rafael Varene is available and will partner Sergio Ramos in central defence, while Nacho will probably cover at right back.
Said Atletico midfielder Saul Niguez: "We have to give everything and make sure the fans go home proud of their players, whether we go through or not".
