See all the style from this year's star-studded Met Gala

Really, it's just like prom - everyone turns up in a rented limo wearing an uncomfortable dress and has to pose for pictures that their parents will "ooo" and "ahh" over.

The stars were out in force for the Met Gala last night, whose theme Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons honoured the iconic designer in the best way.

Teaming the pink and floral piece with hip-high strappy shoes, Rihanna definitely had all eyes on her. Not only did the brunette stunner pick a gown that flaunted EVERY SINGLE one of her curves, but the 29-year-old also stuck to the event's avant-garde theme.

Her sister, Bella, dressed in a sexy sheer catsuit by Alexander Wang. Seconds before dashing to the auto, in true Hudson fashion, she made time for one last selfie. In fact, fashion watchers even compared her look to that of Satan. Pharrell Williams and wife Helen Lasichanh both showed up in Comme des Garçons.

Anna's close friend Wendi Murdoch was also in attendance, as was Hillary Clinton's aide Huma Abedin, who wore a bright red frock and large sparkling earrings.

The Met Gala 2017 has come and gone, and while we were sleeping some of the biggest celebs on the planet walked the red carpet in the most daring, theatrical and ostentatious outfits to date.

'Rei Kawakubo is one of the most important and influential designers of the past forty years, ' the Costume Institute's curator Andrew Bolton told Vogue.

But despite not attending the star-studded bash, the insider insisted the "Famous" hitmaker is in "a much better place" than he was a year ago, and has made "good progress" in getting his mental health back on track.

Unsurprisingly Rihanna went all out, putting many of her peers to shame in an extremely freaky and colourful creation by Comme des Garçons.
