Hours after posting an open letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, suspended AAP leader Kapil Mishra on Tuesday went to the CBI office to register a complaint against him and other party leaders. Soon, a controversy broke out over the identity of the attacker with an AAP functionary condemning the attack and claiming that Bhardwaj was a member of BJP's youth wing, Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM), and that the attack was a conspiracy hatched by BJP.
Mishra then appealed to his supporters not to retaliate violently.
Before Mishra could reply, the man allegedly grabbed him by his collar.
"People of Delhi voted for a corruption-free government, but what did they get in return - betrayal, corruption, loot, lies, hawala and bribery", he said.
Mishra, who was sacked as minister on Saturday, also demanded a lie detector on his allegations that he was an eyewitness to the Rs2 crore exchanging hands between Kejriwal and Jain. The channel also reported that Mishra was slapped by the attacker twice.
Later, Ankit said he wanted to attack Kapil because he has harmed the AAP.
Mishra said he would hand over evidence and documents related to corruption, financial irregularities, nepotism and dubious land dealings by Kejriwal to the CBI and file an FIR.
Earlier, beginning his strike, Mishra said, "I'm sitting on a satyagraha till I get clarification on details of global travel expenses of some senior AAP leaders".
AAP, which has claimed that EVMs were rigged in the Punjab and Uttar Pradesh assembly and Delhi civic polls, has requested the EC for access to original EVMs to prove its charge.
Before sitting on "Satyagraha", Mishra alleged that he will sit on Satyagrah till he gets a clarification on details of worldwide travel expenses of some senior AAP leaders. One against Kejriwal claiming an exchange of Rs. 2 crores between Jain and Kejriwal. On the other hand, Kejriwal will break his silence over the ongoing AAP controversy on the floor of the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday. The politician had also alleged of receiving life threats from an worldwide number. The anti corruption crusader also raised questions about the timing of former cabinet minister Kapil Mishra's corruption expose on Kejriwal. He asked why Mishra had made revelations only after being sacked.
