In Saudi Arabia, a White House official said Trump would meet with Saudi and other Arab leaders. He says they will seek new cooperation to "combat extremism, terrorism and violence" and promote a more hopeful future for young Muslims.

A G7 summit in Sicily will offer Trump the chance to sit down face-to-face with leaders of the world's largest economies. Mr Trump, who met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House in February, has assigned his son-in-law Jared Kushner to oversee efforts to broker a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians.
