Miley Cyrus back in good girl shoes, quits drugs and alcohol

She tells "Billboard", "Cause I needed to change so much". The 24-year-old has been a frequent user of marijuana over the last few years, but Cyrus has now made a decision to restrict herself from the drug.

Part of her rebranding involves reconciling her political beliefs with those of a significant portion of country music fans: Trump voters (Cyrus was a supporter of Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary, and founded Happy Hippie, an LGBTQ advocacy nonprofit) "I like the way I think right now".

The "Malibu" singer teased lyrics from her forthcoming new music via Twitter on Friday, and from the look of things, it appears to address the 24-year-old artist's ended engagement to Liam Hemsworth, as well as how they found their way back to romance.

"I like talking to people who do not agree with me, but I do not think I can do that in an aggressive way", she said.

She says it was easy because she chose to do it, but she wouldn't have done it if someone told her not to smoke. "Suddenly you're like, "I don't recognize you anymore". News will ruin our lives and say, 'This is a political record.' Because then I'm the Dixie Chicks and I'm getting my album smashed in the streets, and that's not what I want. "I know exactly where I am right now", added Miley. "I'm evolving, and I surround myself with smart people that are evolved". She also hopes people understand that she doesn't give a f*ck, but that she also realizes that now is not the time to not give a f*ck about people, reports Breitbart.

Miley is now working on a new album due out later this year, and the first single Malibu - due out May 11th - is a love song about her relationship. After the election, Cyrus used Facebook to share an emotional message, in which she congratulated Trump on his win.
