Cinco De Mayo celebration set for Saturday

Troopers say almost 1,000 drivers risked their lives and the lives of others on the road over the last five Cinco de Mayo celebrations (2012-2016) when they chose to get behind the wheel drunk.
Although Cinco de Mayo is a big celebration in Puebla, where the battle was fought, Cinco de Mayo is much more popular in America.
"It's a celebration of the American people actually embracing the Mexican heritage, and that's simply how it should be left", said Roberto Arreola, chairman of the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Though not all Mexicans celebrate the holiday, some Latino leaders saw this as another way for Trump to slight the Latino community.

For many San Jose residents, the day represents a chance for residents to show their cultural pride.

In the last five years (2011 - 2015), 462 people were killed in drunk driving-related crashes in Minnesota.
In the United States, May 5 tends to be a general celebration of Mexican culture. We also are celebrating there's a history of resistance.
"My wife is from Mexico and I'm from El Paso, Texas, and love to cook", Art said.
