Pogba believes that Jose Mourinho's side are capable of staging one last push - starting at Arsenal on Sunday - while complementing their domestic efforts with Europa League success.
Fifth in the English top flight, United are at risk of missing out on a Champions League place for next season and their only hope of playing in the competition might be winning the Europa League, a trophy they have never lifted before.
Mourinho is expected to rotate his side against Arsenal and Young would have been in-line to replace Antonio Valencia at right-back but the United boss may now have to come up with an alternative plan.
Mourinho admitted some of his players will be handed rests.
"It's a short result, it could have been better".
A free-kick goal from 19-year-old United forward Marcus Rashford in the second half settled the game, and Celta keeper Sergio Alvarez made a string of saves to prevent the deficit from growing further.
"The players that have accumulated lots of minutes are not going to play next weekend", said Mourinho.
When questioned on whether amicable ground could be found with Mourinho, he said: "I am open always in life for everything, you know, for peace". "We have two matches in one week against Celta and so it is important to have everyone back", he said on Wednesday", Mourinho said.
"At the end of the day it's a set-piece that gets us", said the Swedish worldwide.
" We played well enough to have the result closed", the coach stressed.
After the trip to the Emirates, United face back-to-back away games in the Premier League against Tottenham and Southampton before Crystal Palace visit Old Trafford on the final day.
Three underwhelming years under firstly David Moyes and then Louis van Gaal saw the Old Trafford board turn to the Portuguese last summer.
It will be hard for Wenger to prepare his team without a clear idea of how United will play.
Former Manchester City prospect John Guidetti has shown that he still has his former club in his heart ahead of Celta Vigo's Europa League semi-final clash with Manchester United.
"I think from now until the end of the season every game is big".
"If we beat Celta, we have the final and, in this moment, it is obviously hypothetical", Mourinho told the United website.
