African Star: Why I Changed My Mind About Man City

Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho met the media to preview Sunday's match against Swansea City.

Manchester United may not be completely satisfied with Sunday's 1-1 draw with Swansea at Old Trafford, but they will take some joy from setting a new club record on the day.

The French worldwide was forced off during the closing stages of United's win at Burnley last weekend and missed the draw with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last night.

"I think Mr Van Gaal left here a good group of boys with very good relations with them and that I got in my hands".

"[But] I think they missed happiness, they missed trust, belief, this extra bit that brings resilience, brings fight and they have it [now]". When you play for a club of that size and with that expectancy in front of 75,000 supporters, they are expected to give their absolute best in every game.

"Yes, of course, all the time we finish above them in the season, it shows City are doing very well", said Toure when asked about the shift in the balance of power.

"We have to be happy, we did everything we could to win the game".

Defender Tim Fosu-Mensah suffered a shoulder problem in that game and joins a lengthy injury list, which includes midfielders Paul Pogba and Juan Mata.

He said: 'If we are going to win we have to score goals.

Jose Mourinho says Manchester United's players are being galvanised by the draining fixture schedule because of the prizes still available to the Reds.

United simply have to start winning games at home against teams lower than them in the Premier League. "Mourinho and Tuanzebe against Swansea", he joked.

But, with Paul Pogba sidelined because of muscle fatigue, Mourinho still has only two central midfielders to choose from to face Swansea, and one of those is Michael Carrick, who at 35 could be rested before Thursday's Europa League semi-final first leg away to Celta Vigo.

Fellaini was named in a United midfield which seemed created to stifle City rather than compete creatively with them. In my career I had one in 17 years.

"Man City contacted my agent, Barcelona as well were talking to my agent, but they weren't as interested in me as Mourinho. You always hope when you play a big team at their stadium that they have a slightly off-day and you have a chance". "We have the talent but it's not easy".
