National Football League draft: Which 1st-round QB will have the best pro career?

Garrett is a possible first pick in the NFL Draft in Philadelphia on Thursday, April 27, 2017. For comparison's sake, Deshaun Watson - the draft's No. 12 pick - threw more than double that. He's got the athletic ability, play-making skills, and the championship pedigree that Houston was in search of. With that being said, injury history certainly did not deter National Football League front offices from picking marquee prospects in this year's draft, particularly in the first round. In the fifth round, Morgan is in a good spot as a developmental piece. And they let a bunch of solid defenders pass by later, as Pace picked offensive players from colleges so far off the beaten path that they remind one of serial Bates Motels on a backwater highway.
But just because I'm happy for the players does not mean I enjoyed the grueling 8-10 weeks the sports media spends predicting where these players end up. They signed Glennon to a three-year, $45 million deal to be their starting signal caller.
The Chicago Bears surprised nearly everyone when they moved up one spot to No. 2 in the 2017 NFL Draft to pick Mitch Trubisky. No team was. San Francisco, for its part, had every intention of taking Solomon Thomas with their pick like every single mock (including mine) predicted. Somewhere in Chicago, Bears fans are not. Because of this, he will find a way on to the field next season. That's assuming that Glennon plays well enough to keep his job. "Standing 6'4", 250 lbs, Biegel is an athletic force at the linebacker position. Then the final grade comes at the end of three years, when you know who and what a player is.
Thats the same list for the Green Bay Packers. Most of the players selected probably will not have a significant impact for three or four seasons down the road.
Also, whats the harm in being bad for another year, but bad with a franchise quarterback? First, off the team moved up just one spot, yielding two third-round picks and a fourth-round pick in the process. Baker is small in stature, but a great tackler and a force in the secondary, even drawing comparisons to now-teammate Mathieu.
How could Jake Butt be a victor? I really like his talent and upside as a player. I am not talking about one of those random generals either that you have never heard of either (The US army authorizes 231 generals, so there are a lot you don't hear about), but the important ones.
By that standard, 23 of the 32 first-round picks were good picks, and nine were not. For those teams with the best available philosophy, this is a great draft for a great offensive team.
But then a run on wide receivers started when Corey Davis went to the Titans at No. 5, the Chargers drafted Mike Williams at No. 7 and John Ross went to the Bengals at No. 9.
While Watson's ego certainly took a hit, it worked out better for him in the end. Pace is saying all the right things in public about there was another team involved that might take Mitch but I think he just doesn't want to publicly acknowledge it was a stupid move. Pair him with the young Mariota, and this will be a good tandem for a long time. First rounders are rarely under the radar, but because it was sandwiched between the high profile pick of safety Jabrill Peppers and quarterback DeShone Kizer, I think he is getting overlooked.
Turn the page to see each team did. Is this the season they take that crucial step forward?
Last year, it was Chicago who held the draft.
But the best of the weekend came from sweet, little-old-man Willie Brown, who reminded us that Mother's Day is on the horizon.
