Curious Comments From Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook

Cook, who visited India past year and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said the iPhone maker is putting a "lot of energy" in India, just like Apple has in other geographies that eventually wound up producing more.
As advanced manufacturing jobs are in high demand in the US, the sector was already high on Apple's list of priorities, and Cook hopes the investment will spur even more job creation.
The Cupertino, California company will announce the fund's first investment later in May, Cook said during an interview on CNBC.

But many investors remain concerned that Apple has become too vulnerable to the ups and downs of the smartphone market, mostly because the company hasn't been able to come up with another hit product since the 2011 death of its co-founder and CEO, Steve Jobs. "And so that and the demographics of the country is why we're putting so much energy there", Cook said.
Also on Wednesday the company boasted of jobs it was creating in the USA (pictured: a store in New York). "And one of the things you do is give back", Cook said. Look for an announcement later this year if things carry on as planned.
Apple is all set to start operations at its iPhone assembly unit in Bengaluru as the company inaugurated its first developer centre in the city in early April.
In the same month, Nintendo's Super Mario Run made history with more than 40 million downloads in just four days after its release - making it the most downloaded app globally on Christmas and New Year's Day.
Apple disclosed in its second quarter earnings call that it has over $256 billion at its disposal with a staggering 93 percent of it outside of the United States. He also believes that a company should give back, and Apple is giving back through its work in the environment and job creation. You want people to use this money in the United States to invest more.
