Did Cubs' David Ross survive double elimination on 'Dancing with the Stars?'

Despite receiving two nines and two eights from judges for his Argentine tango with partner Peta Murgatroyd, the Bachelor alum was axed from the dancing competition on Monday night (May 1, 2017). Carrie Ann feels it's an honor to watch Normani dance. While Nancy is technically the strongest of the three and David is the weakest, Heather's elimination last week proved that this means nothing. After each of the seven couples performed, singer Normani Kordei and partner Val Chmerkovskiy were awarded immunity for earning the highest judges score, which was a ideal score. It wasn't good enough to shape all the judges so the pair got only 30\40.

Of the final seven dancers tonight, Ross received the second-lowest scores, only beating out Bonner Bolton, another male dancer coasting more on his personality and looks than his dancing.

Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev have to turn it up a notch to escape elimination. Len thought Bonner came out guns blazing. "This dance made me to believe that I can do anything!" - said Julianne. VIP treatment all the time, glossy & elegant. Stay Tuned next week for you Dancing with the Stars updates! Scores of 8-8-8-8 from the judges for a total of 32. Portraying two spies, the duo ended their routine with Viall ascending via rope to a "helicopter".

As fans of The Bachelor franchise know, Chris Soules was arrested last month after he was driving a truck that collided with a tractor trailer and resulted in the death of the man driving the tractor.

Dance Off 2: Rashad & Emma vs. David & Lindsay (Jive) - WINNER: RASHAD & EMMA! The zombie-filled routine was dark, ghostly and powerful. Simone Biles: 37 out of 40 Simone and Sasha head back to the silent-movie era and are assigned the Charleston. However during their performance each movement was so fierce and dedicated you couldn't have known the singer was in any pain.

To be honest, Normani Kordei is not my favorite celebrity on the show, but I will admit that her Argentine tango with Val Chmerkovskiy deserved every bit of the ideal score that they were given.

Even a ideal score won't guarantee against elimination.

"Not only are you strong and fierce, but you are elegant", Inaba gushed, before Kordei went on score immunity from elimination.

With that ideal score, Normani and Val did not have to participate in the dance-off and got three extra points to boot.
