Chelsea keeps Tottenham 4 points behind in title pursuit

Everton slipped to only their second defeat at Goodison Park this season, dropping a 3-0 decision to Chelsea.

The win kept Spurs in touch in the Premier League title race with four games to go and also ensured they will finish above Arsenal in the league for the first time since 1994-95.

"But I must be pleased with them because they are showing me to be great men and fantastic players".

"We have to have great enthusiasm and great patience because I think we are having a great season but to become a fantastic season we must win", Conte said of the title.

Pedro's brilliant strike and goals from Gary Cahill and Willian secured Chelsea's fourth win in their last five league games, sparking jubilant celebrations from Conte and his players.

Morgan Schneiderlin could return to the Everton squad for this weekend's match against Premier League strugglers Swansea City.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is relishing the opportunity to load more pressure upon Premier League leaders Chelsea following his side's superb derby win over Arsenal.

"I didn't speak with the doctor about his (Luiz's) injury but I don't think it is a serious injury for him", added Conte.

"We never look at Tottenham".

They beat Southampton in midweek to re-establish control of the title race and ending Everton's eight-match winning streak at home was another significant step towards the title.

"He is showing us great commitment in this season".

"We know what it's like from when Leicester were playing previous year before us, and even today, that it's good to play first and put the pressure on", he added.

While he admitted to personal disappointment over Spurs' failure to eat into Chelsea's lead more significantly, he said nothing could take the sheen off his team's performance. They showed today their belief and their quality.

"It was tough as Middlesbrough are playing to stay in the league but we dropped another chance to take advantage".

Any team capable of stopping Conte and his players achieving the double this season will have to be a very good one. "If in the next game against Middlesbrough you don't win, you lose this victory". Koeman will ask Farhad Moshiri and the board to help him emulate sides like Chelsea as we move forward.
