Trump 'absolutely' considered breaking up 9th Circuit

"There are many people who want to break up the 9th Circuit. And they don't even mention the words in their rejection on the ban", Trump said to The Washington Examiner.
Foes of denying federal funds to cities and counties that decline to cooperate with new deportation policies won a ruling Tuesday in the same western USA subdivision of federal courts, where a travel ban targeting seven nations also bogged down.
President Donald Trump's criticism of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals as having a bad record for being overturned leaves out several crucial facts.
President Donald Trump says the leaders of Canada and Mexico called him asking the United States to remain a partner in the North American Free Trade Agreement and that he agreed.
The 9th is by far the largest of the 13 federal courts of appeals, which means that in raw numbers, more cases are heard and reversed from the 9th Circuit year in and year out.
Trump accused his opponents of "judge shopping", and told the Examiner they "immediately run to the 9th Circuit". It was the third time in two months that a federal judge has knocked down a Trump order dealing with immigration. "With a procedure that limits the number of judges resolving these conflicts to 11, 10 of which are chosen by lot, it is no wonder that the Ninth fails to provide the stability and predictability that are virtues of a legal system". Because they know that's like, semi-automatic. "And the same thing with this [sanctuary city decision]..."
He said that a split-up of the circuit, which has been discussed for years, would need to go through Congress. This one court covers 20 percent of the population. "I mean, the language on the ban, it reads so easy that a reasonably good student in the first grade will fully understand it".
Democrats have also managed to postpone Trump's plans to build a wall on the border with Mexico, another one of his main campaign pledges to curb immigration. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article. You see judge shopping, or what's gone on with these people, they immediately run to the 9th Circuit. Trump later told a reporter that he's "never surprised" by decisions from the Ninth Circuit.
