Chris Pratt: 'I don't take pictures with fans'

"But now I have to be economical with my time", said the busy actor. "They spent 10 minutes telling us why should we care about these characters, rather than creating trilogies for each character and convincing us to care about the characters".

Pratt dropped by the radio station again this week, sans J-Law, to get people hyped for what sounds like a much better movie than Passengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 (not that it needs the help), and to play "AlphabetiCall". Guardians also managed to introduce an entirely new team, but did so in a way that felt organic rather than creating what essentially amounted to a cinematic slideshow. "So I say, 'Would you settle for a handshake?' And then they take the picture anyway", he added.

Pratt confessed that he wants to be able to go out in public and "do normal things", which means he'll "have to be comfortable" disappointing fans from time to time. "There I am, smoking these little cigars on the set and it is, in fact, illegal", he told Cigar Aficionado magazine (via Just Jared).

"That's not about enjoying the moment; it's about stealing the moment to brag about later". I really do. But sometimes, when he opens his mouth, I just want to gently place my finger over his seemingly well moisturized lips and say "Shhhh, just be pretty and charming and stick to your PR lady's talking points". 'I asked him if he'd be my dad in real life and I'm still waiting to hear back'.

Chris' career is going from strength to strength, with the Guardians sequel and Jurassic World follow-up both on his agenda. "That was when those people stopped being my icons and became my peers".
