The Boston Celtics downed the Chicago Bulls 108-97 Wednesday night to take a commanding 3-2 series lead despite being outshot from start to finish.

Will the Boston Celtics stay hot when their NBA Playoff series with the Chicago Bulls returns home tonight for Game 5 at 8:30PM ET?

The rebound was one of the five that Thomas came up with on this night, and he did everything he could to help his team despite an uncharacteristically poor shooting performance.

The C's did a good job containing Jimmy Butler as the Bulls star was limited to 14 points.

Dwyane Wade had 26 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists for the Bulls, who sputtered down the stretch.

For now, it doesn't sound like he'll be a factor in the next two games of the series, which is tied 2-2. Bulls G Isaiah Canaan was inactive the first three games of the series and made his career postseason debut Sunday in Game 4, finishing with 13 points and three assists in 34 minutes.

Boston going small has brought down a whirlwind of criticism about the Bulls guard depth and there is good reason for that. Antetokounmpo's role has changed now that he's the focal point of the offense, so he faces more defensive scrutiny. But the 2016-17 Celtics seem determined to reach the second round for the first time since the Big Three led them there in 2012.

"I was trying to eliminate letting Jimmy Butler get to the free throw line". Boston's shooting struggles would have been significantly more impactful if not for the Celtics keeping turnovers to a minimum (just six for the game) as well as being more competitive than usual on the glass. "The doctors told me a couple weeks, but we'll see how it goes", Rondo said in a previous interview with ESPN.

Once down 0-2 in this series, the Celtics head to Chicago with a chance to close out the Bulls. Rondo looked like he was in 2008 form, dishing out 14 assists and adding 11 points. After the game, a reporter from Boston's WEEI radio asked Hoiberg, "Did you see Isaiah carry the ball at all this game?" Paul Millsap finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds. "I think it's this group of guys, our coaching staff, we believe, we believe in one another". The Celtics played with the ball higher and more spacing, allowing more freedom of movement for Jonas Jerebko and Kelly Olynyk. In their two games since at the United Center, the Bulls have averaged just 91 points and are looking at an evened up series with the East's top-seeded squad.

"I don't know exactly what he's going through or what he's feeling, but it's tough when you are, and you try to beat a guy from halfcourt to the rim, or three defenders. Unfortunately we got a few techs at the end", Wade said.
