Meizu E2 goes official, but it won't be leaving China

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch LCD display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution display and peak brightness of 450 nit.

Pricing for the new Meizu E2 will start at around $189 for the 3GB model and $232 for the 4GB model it will be available in a range of colors.

Meizu E2 is launched in two variants, wherein one comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, while the second one packs 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage.

There will be two RAM and storage variants to choose from.

Meizu has added another smartphone to its budget lineup, the Meizu E2. The key highlight of the Meizu E2 is its fast charging capability and the fingerprint scanner which is placed underneath the home button in the front panel. The handset includes a Hybrid Dual-SIM card slot, which lets you expand the storage further by up to 128GB, provided you are using only a single SIM card. The specifications of this smartphone continue to remain a mystery up until now, but a leaked image of the phone does suggest that it will have a metal unibody design and a weird LED flash.

Under the hood, the Meizu E2 gets the 2.35 GHz Octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 64-bit processor along with ARM Mali-T880 graphics.

The primary camera at the back is a 13MP unit with phase detection autofocus tech, an f/2.2 aperture lens, and a Quad-LED flash. This smartphone will also have a 12 Mega Pixel rear camera and maybe 8 Mega Pixel for selfie camera. this device will be running on android 7.0 out of the box. It will be backed up by a 3500mAh battery with Meizu's mCharge fast charge technology.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and Global Positioning System. It runs, Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ALibaba's Flyme OS 6.0 on the top. Along with the launch of Meizu E2, the smartphone maker has announced a special Hi case for the device that comes in a variety of colours.
