Cleveland Browns: Joe Haden Should Want Myles Garrett on His Defense

The Browns were 31 of 32 franchises past year in total defense, so I think Garrett would also be a good fit. Their current quarterback roster includes Kevin Hogan, Cody Kessler and Brock Osweiler.

Osweiler was acquired March 9 in a trade with Houston in which the Brown received a second-round pick in 2018 in exchange for taking on Osweiler's $16 million guaranteed salary in 2017.

We assume it's Trubisky anyway - he's generally regarded as the top quarterback option in this draft, is an OH native and is someone who is easy to see operating a Hue Jackson offense and helping revive the Browns.

Brown said he would be surprised if the Browns traded down, though. Going up to get the No. 1 quarterback isn't realistic, but if a passer the Chiefs like drops to an attainable range, they're primed to go up and secure the future of the position.

That was the first and strongest indication given by the Browns that Osweiler would be in the mix to start during the 2017 season.

There has been a lot of talk the past week that the Bills have a lot of interest in North Carolina QB Mitchell Trubisky. There is one week before the Cleveland Browns select Myles Garrett, defensive end from Texas A&M, with the first overall pick. We have said the draft is going to be the pipeline.

On Tuesday, Patriots player personnel director Nick Caserio didn't say "no" when asked if Garoppolo is available.

This was a two-round mock, and I recently made my final pick for the Cleveland Browns at No. 52 overall. 12, 33 and 108, while the Browns countered with Nos.

Sacramento Bee 49ers reporter Matt Barrows told KNBR that the Browns trading up is "Another interesting possibility is that the Browns trade up, as well..."

"I think the only player you move up to get is, if you believe Trubisky is the No. 1 quarterback in this draft and his grade on your board is high enough, then he is the only player that would be worth jumping up from No. 12 to No. 3 to try and get". Every team misses. So we don't want to get into a habit of turning two picks into one, so to speak.

The 2017 National Football League draft is one week away, and it seems like a good time to see what mock drafts are telling us.

The last time three defensive players went in the top five of the draft was 2011. Injuries forced the Browns to place him behind center.

"Positive young man, bright, very competitive, brings a lunchbox, blue-collar mentality to the position", Brown said. He said that the organization as a whole was "impressed by him".

No one is guessing where Jackson comes down on the top draft prospects - Mitch Trubisky, Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson and DeShone Kizer - or how highly he prizes New England's Jimmy Garoppolo.
