Calls for Trump's press secretary to resign after Hitler gaffe

Press secretary Sean Spicer on Thursday is scheduled to hold a daily press briefing at the White House for the first time since coming under fire for incorrectly saying Adolf Hitler never used chemical weapons on his people. Instead, people were left wondering how Spicer could "not know that Hitler marched his own people ... to concentration camps and turned on chemical gas".

The global Jewish group, which has historical education trainings on the Holocaust for more than 1 million people, wrote an open letter to Spicer asking to come to the White House to hold an educational session about the topic.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt offered the training following Spicer's comments Tuesday about the Holocaust while discussing the chemical attack on Syrian civilians.

Hitler and the Nazis used gas chambers to massacre millions of Jews, even though he did not use any chemical weapons on the battlefield. "I guess not", Stern said.

Shock jock Howard Stern on Wednesday ridiculed Sean Spicer over his "crazy" comparison of Adolf Hitler and Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, insisting the blunder proves Donald Trump's White House press secretary speaks "fluent moron." "We know you are very busy, but we believe a few hours learning this history will help you understand where you went wrong and prevent you from making these mistakes in the future". "For that I apologize, it was a mistake to do that".

He received applause when he made the Spicer comments, but was booed and jeered when he tried to explain what Spicer was trying to say.

"His statements imply a profound lack of knowledge of events of the Second World War, including the Holocaust".

'But if I'm President Trump, I'm like, well Jesus Christ, we're a laughingstock'.

"While Jewish families across America celebrate Passover, the chief spokesman of this White House is downplaying the horror of the Holocaust", she said in a statement.
