O'Reilly to return with new podcast episode Monday

Bill O'Reilly, longtime host of Fox News's top-rated show, "The O'Reilly Factor", will not return to the network.

"I've been on Bill's show many times, and we've always had good on-air chemistry", Hof said. From October 1996 until April 2017 - an unprecedented two-decade run - O'Reilly became the face and voice of Fox News Channel.

With millions already turning to the internet for their news, O'Reilly is signaling his return Monday from an Italian vacation by promoting a new episode of his "No Spin News" podcast, as CNN's Brian Stelter tweeted. Hosts move on, go to other networks, try other things. O'Reilly has called the allegations completely unfounded. His populist rhetoric, unapologetic approach and unlimited ego made him the most popular cable news personality in the country. The firing was the result of companies refusing to advertise with Fox News after O'Reilly was hit with multiple accusations of sexual harassment.

"The worst part of my job is being a target for those who would harm me and my employer, the Fox News Channel", he wrote.

Either way, the reaction on social media offered some interesting comments, to include how O'Reilly "drilled" his personal website into viewers' heads at the end of every episode of "The O'Reilly Factor".

I think I can safely say that anyone in the entire world that's shelling out $4.95 a month to actually listen to Bill O'Reilly probably doesn't have much of a place in my circle of friends, let alone on this entire planet.

Just hours after the news broke, O'Reilly's name was scrubbed from his former show in the 8 p.m. time slot.
