Injured Warriors star Kevin Durant took to Youtube to tell fans he hopeful to be in uniform and on the court for Game 3 of Golden State's National Basketball Association playoff series against the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday night.
Kerr said he expects Durant to return quickly but stressed no risks would be taken with the superstar who missed 19 games during the regular season with a knee injury.
But as we all saw during Game 7 of the Finals a year ago, Kerr really sticks to his guns when it comes to minutes, and if he wasn't willing to go all out then, it's tough to imagine him doing it in the first round.
Through three quarters, the Blazers were 24-of-73 shooting with 17 turnovers and a microscopic 73.4 offensive rating.

Durant was a force that the Blazers simply couldn't handle in Game 1, going for 32 points on just 20 shots and grabbing 11 rebounds to boot.
"I just try to be efficient out there", McGee said. We're lucky. We've got a lot of talent and we've won plenty of games the last couple years with guys down and that's the plan tonight.
Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum vs. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, first duo to 75, or 100, or 120. game on! Make sure to tune into KSRO for playoff coverage beginning at 7:00 PM. "We need his scoring", said McGee, who came off the bench to score 15 points.
Key To The Game: Will anyone else on the Trail Blazers step up? Obviously, those good Portland vibes did not last. The Trail Blazers are missing Jusuf Nurkic.
McGee was a monster in just 13 minutes of play and made a statement on the floor. The two teams meet again for game 3 in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, April 22 at the Moda Center. "We were just not poised offensively and that put our defense in a bad position", coach Steve Kerr said. Durant got to rest and the Warriors got to roll.
The Warriors would add three more points to their lead through the remainder of the frame and hold a 33-17 lead at the end of one.
Portland's Damian Lillard was perplexed by how McGee beat them in Game 2. The projected point total is the highest on the slate, and with the spread half of what it is in Golden State, there is less blowout potential here.
While Durant is impatient to get on the court, he said he will get all the treatment and ice needed for his injury.
In Game 2, even without Durant (a versatile shot-blocker) and Shaun Livingston (a lengthy, smart backup point guard who has a hand contusion), the shorthanded Warriors started their defensive dominance early.
"No, they can go for a combined 75 points, they're unbelievable players", Thompson said of McCollum and Lillard.
