HTC video shows U 11 Edge Sense

Phone maker HTC has already revealed that they're going to announce a new "U" branded device in just under a month, and we also know the company is bad at keeping secrets.

Not many details have been officially confirmed by the company yet.

Popular leakster Evan Blass is certain that the flagship will be named HTC U 11.

There have been a lot of talks about what the new HTC flagship phone will be called.

Some people mistakenly thought that the "HTC U", "HTC Ulta", and "HTC U Play", are flagship devices. Nevertheless, numerous users posting on HTC's official Twitter account have already stated that they would be keeping their old HTC devices until such time that the smartphone maker releases another flagship device that includes the essential feature. The feature was also recently spotted in a video, which shows couple pressing the edge of the smartphone to bring what looks like a quick-launcher menu. In addition, since this is an Android phone, the ease of customisation is always a high priority with users and with this, users can easily put up their own applications into the Edge Sense side bar.

He then makes a gesture of sliding his thumb along the edge to scroll down the menu and select an app to open. This means you could potentially squeeze the HTC U to perform different actions, which sounds interesting as far as innovation goes.

Apart from the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack, HTC fans have also noted that based on the renders and leaked images of the smartphone, the HTC U 11 would feature a traditional design, including sizable bezels on the device's top and bottom.

The HTC U 11 will be a 5.5-inch QHD display phone and will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

In addition to the aforementioned, there will be a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Furthermore, the smartphone seems to be equipped with 4 microphones for Hi-Res recording and 3D audio.

HTC has announced that the HTC U 11 is set to be released on the 15th of May, 2017.
