There's the fingerprint scanner on the back, face recognition (which uses the phone's front camera) and a dedicated iris scanner up front. The Galaxy S8 will hit the shelves on April 21 in the country.
Some of the local users complained that some of the Galaxy S8 smartphones have excessively reddish displays, with other users also claiming that the problem leads to sore eyes.
"These devices will offer our consumers a gateway to a new mobile life where the power of innovation will carry them beyond barriers", Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India, told reporters at the launch event.
Both the devices are IP68 rated, making them resistant to water and dust. The only thing which we didn't know what the price of both the devices. While the Galaxy S8 is a 5.8-inch phone, the S8+ has a 6.2-inch screen.
The dual-camera setup, according to Kuo, will be the "most important upgrade" in the Galaxy Note 8. Every year, Samsung loads the Indian variant of its flagship smartphone with its homegrown Exynos chipset, and this year too, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes loaded with Exynos 8895 octa-core processor which is built on the 10nm process.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus specifications: The phones has 4 GB RAM alongside 64 GB ROM. The phones will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Samsung retail shops from the 5th of May. There's 64/128GB storage on board along with 256GB expandable microSD card slot.
This handset which has been caught on camera is likely one such prototype that was used to test out the dual-camera hardware. The two smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat-based TouchWiz UI.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to have a dual-camera set-up, so the leaked design of the Galaxy S8 pretty much spells what the phablet is going to look like. It also supports USB Type-C which is very useful for fast charging.
