Moto G4 Play to receive Android Nougat update in June

The second selected project is the MACAY TrueSound HiFi which adds an audio converter on the Moto Z. The Mod is able can convert digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital signals and also allows users to connect their high-end speakers and pro studio equipment via a HiDef audio port. So, this is no rumour or speculations, and like its predecessor - Moto G4 and G4 Plus, the cheaper variant of the series - Moto G4 Play will be upgraded to the latest Android OS. As a matter of fact, in an interview with Lenovo, the company stated that "consumers will start to see Android Nougat on Moto G4 Play in June".

We're sure any Moto Z2 Play debut will also feature an array of Moto Mods from the company, its partners and the third-party developers it is hoping to entice.

With the differences in hardware of the Moto G4 siblings, the same news outlet concludes that this might be the cause of the delayed launch of Android 7.0 Nougat for Moto G4 Play.

Report coming from GSMarena confirmed the Nougat update.

Lenovo recently publicized that the Moto G4 Play will be obtaining an Android 7.0 Nougat update in June.

It shows that the home button of the Moto Z2 Play has gotten a slight makeover, perhaps to make it look more like the budget-friendly phones, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus.

The Moto Z Play sported a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen shielded with Gorilla Glass 3, and a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.

The last trick that Moto can always boast, as always, will be the software, since their smartphones carry pure Android and very interesting features, such as moving the phone to activate the flashlight. That phone also has a 16 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera.
