Chelsea will take on Spurs in the first FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday evening as Antonio Conte looks to reach his first final.
"If there is one favourite it's more Chelsea because they are on the top in the Premier League".
In Sunday's semi-final, beleaguered Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be back in the spotlight when his side face Manchester City.
"They are hard to play against because they are strong physically and they can also play with the ball".
Ahead of the Wembley showdown, Luiz does not believe Chelsea's rivalry with Spurs is toxic, but admits that Mauricio Pochettino has a team of "monsters" to work with.
"The most important thing is he recovered and he trained with us this week".
"Maybe [the winners could land a psychological blow] - we will see about that", he said.
"The FA Cup is a very important game for me because it's an opportunity to win a trophy this season". It will be a nice game because it is a semi-final.
"Alli is a highly intelligent player - the kind of number 10 we have been craving in England for years, and bemoaning the fact we have not got one".
"But really we want to be in the final and we will try to do everything to be there".
It seems inevitable Pochettino's name will be linked to some of Europe's biggest clubs once the dust settles on the season, with Barcelona possibly eyeing the man who twice won the King's Cup with their humble neighbours Espanyol.
"With this team, and with the people working for it, we will get a trophy - 100 per cent. We are confident we can do it", the Serbia global added.
In the space of a few weeks Tottenham have whittled long-time league leaders Chelsea's advantage down from 13 to four points thanks to their own dazzling form and defeats by Crystal Palace and Manchester United for Antonio Conte's side.
As reported by the Mirror, Conte said: "I think he is keeping the goals for the finale of the season". We believe that the goals in the match to be expected from both teams, but the likely victor sees all the same "Chelsea". "But, if this season we can win, or next season we can win some titles, it's welcome".
"I think he's a good player, I think he's ready to have this opportunity, to have this chance, he deserves this opportunity and I trust him". I am feeling good and the atmosphere at Cobham has been good.
