Chelsea: Romelu Lukaku wants Stamford Bridge return in the summer

Everton have slapped a €120 million price tag on striker Romelu Lukaku, seemingly ruling out a move to Juventus. Diego Costa has been linked with a summer exit from Stamford Bridge, and with an impressive record in the Premier League to boast of, Lukaku could become a top notch replacement for the Spain striker.

Right now the Premier League's leading scorer is Romelu Lukaku and the leading assist provider is Kevin De Bruyne.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in bringing him back to Stamford Bridge after parting ways three years ago.

That means he could prove just as hard to sign as Lukaku, but Chelsea will make every attempt to line up an elite striker early on in the transfer window so want to get an understanding of where they stand. The Blues are keen to re-sign their former player, but will face a number of obstacles along the way. It's good to see that they will not be held to ransom by one of the richest clubs in the land, but they could be caught out here if United's interest wanes.

Everton may rather Lukaku join United, but it seems the player prefers to re-join Chelsea.

Mourinho is now in charge of United and that could also work against the Old Trafford club. If Costa was to move on, then Lukaku would be the ideal replacement.

Lukaku is a strong favourite for this Premier League season's Golden Boot award, as he's now the leading goalscorer in the campaign with 25 goals to his name. Lukaku has openly admitted that he will not be signing a contract extension with the Merseyside club, stating that his ambition is much higher and hence he would like to move.

The Belgian has made it clear that he is hungry to play Champions League football, and it is no secret that he is a fan of Chelsea.
