Chelsea masterclass gives Jose his mojo back

Chelsea's lead over closest rivals Tottenham remains at just four points with six matches to play after Antonio Conte's men lost for the second time in their last four games.

"It is very simple, but in this case the fault is of the coach".

So, it is not surprising that Manchester United are doing everything they can to tie him up to an extension, with Ibrahimovic's initial deal with the club set to run out at the end of the season.

Antonio Conte's side did not have a single shot on target as United dismissed talk of dressing-room fatigue with a vibrant display, to move four points behind Manchester City with a game in hand.

"If our players had been on their game today and we had Diego Costa in the form he was in back in October and November, we would have beaten United without any problems".

"We are lucky to have the pressure".

Conte's mood was not helped by the fact Thibaut Courtois missed the game after being injured - apparently playing basketball in a promotional event for the NBA - and the Chelsea manager must now lift his team for their FA Cup semi-final against Spurs on Saturday.

"That game was totally controlled when we played with 11 players, and only the decision that made us play with 10 players gave Chelsea a chance to be dominant", he said.

Speaking on Sky Sports after the game, Lampard said: "They [Chelsea] weren't there today at all".

"The performance was really very, very good and it is a pleasure for me to say that the [league] leaders - the leaders with some difference - could not cope with our performance". "I am very happy", he said after the victory at Old Trafford.

Very happy. The satisfaction is for different reasons [other than being against his former club]. The result means we keep two windows open to play Champions League football.

"Normally you win the title if you are 22 matches unbeaten and we are struggling to finish top four. Why?"

"At this stage of the season, if we win all our games then we are going to find ourselves in the top four and that is how we have to approach the games".

And the Blues looked less solid than usual at the back as United carved them open to take the lead in the seventh minute.

"Why? Everybody knows why because we lost too many points at home". But it is a great feeling to know it is hard for us to lose a match.
