Bulls' Rajon Rondo mocked Celtics by saying 'they gave up'

His scoring provided the Bulls with exactly what they needed from their bench, and they've now gotten it one way or another during each of the first two games of the series. They'll call the Celtics a "fake 1 seed" and patronizingly explain to us how the playoffs are different than the regular season. In fact, it was a member of Celtics' past wearing a black Bulls jersey, aggressively stalking, swaggering and absorbing boos like after-school candy. The Bulls have until June 30 to make their decision. "He's playing with a lot of leadership out there", said Boston's Jae Crowder.

He was simply playing at a higher level than the entire Celtics team. DeAndre Jordan collected 18 points and 15 rebounds for Los Angeles before fouling out with 52 seconds left. Celtics teammate, Avery Bradley, also praised Thomas because of his athleticism and being strong despite the adversity.

"We need easy baskets". Boston hasn't been a team to beat opponents by a great margin. "When we played against Boston back in the day, he knew all the plays". With Chicago's size continuing to hamper him, he didn't get enough help. Look for the Bulls to keep this game close once again.

Though Butler is at the heart of everything the Bulls do, Tuesday night was about Rajon Rondo.

But it hasn't been Rondo for a long time.

It didn't work - Chicago pulled down 11 offensive rebounds in the first three quarters Tuesday and had 14 second-chance points.

Rondo had 11 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds, while Wade posted 22 points - including 16 in the second half. "Obviously our world is kind of revolved around basketball, but like I said, who cares about basketball when something like that happens?" "I try to lock in and do what I can for my team". The guy can score as good as anybody in this game. We haven't done that all season, but this is the right time to do it. "Zipser was huge for us".

He also has been effective on the defensive end this series. "We'll start the same way and hope we get production from both those guys".

According to head coach Brad Stevens, Thomas is expected to play in Game 2 tonight and then fly home to Washington for his sister's funeral and to be with his family.

Thomas scored 20 but couldn't weave his way around Butler, Rondo and Wade. The Celtics' best rebounder is probably Al Horford, who definitely doesn't have the size or strength to battle with Lopez for the boards. I was pretty aggressive (Game 1), but I got myself into some foul trouble.

The 8-seeded Chicago Bulls stole Game 1 and home-court advantage from the top-seeded Boston Celtics behind a big game from Jimmy Butler and a big advantage on the offensive glass.

The Bulls will win one of the first 2 games in Boston.

The Bulls host Game 3 on Friday.
