Bulls, not Celtics, look like the No. 1 seed

On top of that, this Celtics squad doesn't feel that they are getting their due respect for finishing as the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Rajon Rondo helped the Chicago Bulls thrash the Boston Celtics 111-97 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals Tuesday night, and he also delivered a dose of reality to the home team in the midst of the blowout.

Rondo, a former Celtic who won a title in Boston, narrowly missed the 11th playoff triple-double of his career with 11 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds.

Boston's Isaiah Thomas, playing a day after his 22-year-old sister, Chyna Thomas, was killed in a auto accident in their home state of Washington, scored 33 points.

Thomas did not speak to the media afterward and will now head to Tacoma, Washington to be with his family to finalize funeral arrangements for his sister, Chyna Thomas.

Game 3 is Thursday night in Milwaukee. As he tragically lost his sister, Chyna Thomas, in a vehicle accident Saturday morning and then somehow played the very next day in Game 1, which shows how strong he really is.

And when the Celtics doubled Butler and Wade on pick-and-pops, Lopez popped jumper after jumper on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds.

The Chicago Bulls weren't given much of a chance at beating the Boston Celtics coming into this playoff series and rightfully so.

"I've always been confident", Portis said.

The Bulls used several quick spurts to control this game, the last one a 10-0 burst to build a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter. "We just gotta rebound". That means that they will have to continue to limit the effectiveness of some of Boston's premier rebounders, including Jameison Crowder and Al Horford, who combined for 15 rebounds in the team's loss on Sunday afternoon.

Lowry, who scored just four points in the Raptor's series-opening defeat, added 22 points and delivered a clinching jump shot over Bucks rookie Malcolm Brogdon. However, Boston was just 10 of 33 from 3-point range. Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg on Thomas pregame: "He's as versatile a scorer as there is in our game right now.".

There was a moment of silence after the grieving Thomas led his teammates onto the floor and just before the playing of the American national anthem. I was pretty aggressive (Game 1), but I got myself into some foul trouble. Thomas had his Game 1 technical foul rescinded by the league, but he got one 1:51 into Game 2.
