West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has refused to rule out a move for Chelsea captain John Terry once he becomes a free agent this summer.
"John Terry and Chelsea Football Club today jointly announce our captain will leave the club at the end of the season", said a club statement.
Terry has won the Champions League, four Premier League titles, the Europa League, five FA Cups and three League Cups with Chelsea.
Terry has been at Stamford Bridge for 22 years, appearing in just under 500 Premier League games for his hometown club.
Neville went on to insist that a player like Terry could be very useful to Antonio Conte at this stage of the season, as nerves and tension may well start to creep into the team's displays and his experience could be vital.
'I feel I still have plenty to offer on the pitch but understand that opportunities here at Chelsea will be limited for me.
"The news of Terry leaving is incredibly odd timing, I don't get it at all", the former United defender told Monday Night Football. The club and I have always had a fantastic relationship, which will continue beyond my playing days.
Meanwhile, Spurs have also had some great defenders during their history and fan favourite King is regarded as one of the best. In fact, I d put him up with any defender in world football of any era. You've been instrumental in my success and have inspired me and the team to win so many trophies.
Chelsea captain John Terry will reportedly only sign for a Premier League club that allows him to keep living in Surrey, making Crystal Palace or Bournemouth his most likely destination, per Matt Hughes of The Times.
John Terry dropped the Mother Of All Transfer Bombs on us earlier this week by announcing that he's ending his Chelsea playing career after two decades.
I only hope I've been able to repay you with my commitment and loyalty throughout my career, and I look forward to returning to this great club in some capacity in the future.
Ashley Cole took to the social media site to post a similar tribute to Terry, having played alongside him from 2006 until 2014 as well as for England.
