Tianjin Quanjian still interested in signing Diego Costa

A deal worth around £34m-per year after tax is on the table in the Chinese Super League, which will make the twenty eight year old the highest paid player on the planet.

Much like his career with Chelsea so far, Diego Costa's season thus far has been topsy turvy.

However, he put all that behind him to kickstart the season with a bang.

Conte has former Marseille hotshot and Belgium global Michy Batshuayi among their ranks if Costa were to leave, but the team would need further reinforcements up front after the latter has struggled to feature.

However, the turn of the year has since seen his form petering out significantly. So, after a positive start to the campaign, things seem like they are heading downwards all of a sudden.

The Daily Mail report that there are serious doubts over Costa's long-term future in West London.

Nevertheless, Costa is less than enthused by the prospect of being backup to Gonzalo Higuain and has reportedly already turned down an offer.

Shu said: "We are working on bringing in more big-name players".

The owner of Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian confirms that he is still interested in signing Diego Costa from Chelsea.

Of course, China remains a legitimate option for Costa too.

Costa had a training ground bust-up with manager Antonio Conte in the aftermath and was dropped for Chelsea's match with Leicester.

DIEGO COSTA put one of the Chelsea staff in a cardboard box today. For now though, he must rediscover his best touch in order to ensure that the Blues finish the season with two titles.
