How to watch Hawks, Wizards Game 2

Bradley Beal scored 16 of his 31 points in the final quarter as Washington Wizards seized a 2-0 lead in its first round National Basketball Association playoff series with a 109-101 win over Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. There is a chance they will play better at home but the Hawks are running out of time and aren't in much of a position to sit back and wait for things to click. Now the Hawks are fighting for their playoff lives, whether Paul Millsap wants to admit it or not.

The Wizards have a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. John Wall and Bradley Beal are 10-1 in their careers in first round playoff games, so they have been here before and know how to close out a series.

"We have to take it one game at a time", Wall said, knowing from his previous playoff experiences that looking too far ahead can cause issues. While Howard grabbed 14 rebounds, he scored only seven points and struggled to defend the pick-and-roll. Jennings has to find a way to stop Schroder from getting around him. With Ian Mahinmi out, Gortat has stepped up and been a force down low. The Polish Hammer has turned in back-to-back double-doubles for the Wizards, including a 14-point, 10-rebound, 5-block performance in Game 2.

At practice Monday, Gortat described the physical battles he and Howard engaged in during practice as Magic teammates from 2007 until Gortat was traded to Phoenix in December 2010.

The Wizards won Game 2, but they did have some scares mainly due to their second unit's porous defense. Despite foul trouble, the unit still played 15 minutes together in Game 2, playing well once again.
