More details are surfacing with Aaron Hernandez's death.

Personnel at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, say that Hernandez - who was serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of Odin L. Lloyd in 2013 - discovered his body at about 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday.

Hernandez, who had been convicted Friday only of an illegal gun charge, was in a single cell in a general population unit at the prison, Fallon said. "Mr. Hernandez hanged himself utilizing a bedsheet that he attached to his cell window".

Also, officials said, Hernandez tried to block his cell door from the inside by jamming it with several items preventing it from being opened. "Mr. Hernandez's next of kin have been notified".

It's worth mentioning, "Rabbit" a frequent caller to the Kirk & Callahan show, speculated Hernandez committed suicide because of recent homosexuality rumors.

His former agent, Brian Murphy tweeted: "Absolutely no chance he took his own life".

An autopsy will be performed in Boston to determine the "cause and manner of death", according to a statement released by Worcester County DA Joseph Early.

Fallon said he's not aware of any suicide note written by Hernandez.

The Bristol, Conn., native is survived by fiancee Shayanna Jenkins and their four-year-old daughter, Avielle Janelle Jenkins-Hernandez.
