Real Madrid were expected to extend their lead by a comfortable margin as they took on Atletico Madrid at their home The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium but were eventually held to a 1-1 draw.
"You never know what will happen in football but jumping from Atletico to Real, I do not think it is very feasible".
"He is a player who runs, works hard, plays in and outside the area and runs in behind".
Speaking after the game, the forward said he was "ruling nothing out" but added that he was happy where he was.
Cerezo hopes the new stadium, coupled with the team's sustained success on the pitch, will encourage Atletico's best players such as Euro 2016 Golden Boot victor Antoine Griezmann and Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak to remain at the club, bucking a trend set by the likes of Sergio Aguero, Radamel and Costa who all departed while in their prime.
"I don't know where he's going to go, but I am excited by the way he plays", Simeone replied in his post-match press conference, when asked about Griezmann's future. Not very long, if the ever-increasing mass of rumors are to be believed - teams such as Manchester United and Chelsea are supposedly even willing to meet Griezmann's €100m release clause! It was a hard game against a good team and we managed to get a draw thanks to a great assist from Angel [Correa]. I hope I can continue scoring at the Bernabeu.
According to reputed French magazine L'Equipe, Real Madrid have what they call a "secret" plan to lure Antoine Griezmann from across the town.
Atletico coach Diego Simeone conceded after Saturday's game that he is unsure where Griezmann, who has a contract at the Vicente Calderon until 2021, will end up. We need the points for our own objectives. I work hard with the thrill that this shirt and club inspires.
"It's a pleasure to watch him turn in performances like he does".
