Trump Celebrates First Easter Egg Roll As US President

Melania and Barron, who traveled to Washington from NY - where they are living until the 10-year-old finishes the school year - appeared with Trump, accompanied by a human-sized white Easter rabbit, on the Truman Balcony to address the invited guests.

The annual "Easter Egg Roll" revolves around children, who set about finding hidden coloured eggs in the garden bushes around the presidential residence and later roll them toward a finish line aided only by wooden spoons.

Melania Trump appeared to give the president a little nudge during the national anthem at the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, seemingly reminding him to put his hand over his heart. The event was first held in 1878."This is the 139th easter egg roll. Think of it, 139", Trump said when he welcomed the participants of the events.

U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania hosted the annual White House Easter Egg Roll for the first time. However, unlike the biggest celebrity guests during President Barrack Obama's administration such as Justin Bieber, Beyoncé and Ariana Grande, only the Easter Bunny and Trump himself were the star attractions during the recently concluded Easter Egg Roll, Politico reports.

Mercado said: "We missed out on the lottery and received the tickets from a friend at the last minute".

Having this new tradition of spectacular dresses during a White House event, people will now be expecting more from First Lady Melania Trump.

"I just want to thank first lady Melania Trump", he said. That's down from the 35,000 people who attended a year ago.

Mr Trump obliged, but after signing the hat he absentmindedly threw it out into the crowd, far from its owner, to cries of 'No!'.
