'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Clip Shows Keira Knightley's Return

Knightley's appearance in the global trailer for Dead Men Tell No Tales confirms rumors that the actress had been shooting some material for the movie in secret during its production.

And how better to do that than with the reemergence of two of the first film's key players, Knightley and Orlando Bloom? And by "in action" I mean, she's staring off at something just off camera and that's pretty much it.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales comes sailing into theaters on May 26, 2017. But how will Elizabeth appear?

The new addition to the cast comes after it was announced that Orlando Bloom would also be returning to the role of Will Turner for the fifth instalment.

A new Japanese-narrated trailer for Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 has revealed Keira Knightley's return as Elizabeth Swann.

In a very brief appearance, the actress is seen staring wistfully at the ocean as her character Elizabeth in the trailer - clad in a typical period floral gown and a smattering of jewellery. Henry (Brenton Thwaites) is the son of Will and Elizabeth, who is on a journey to find Will. According to a TooFab report from December 2016, Knightley's return is a "small cameo during the end credits" and "apparently hints to a potential larger role in the sixth "Pirates" movie". The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea-notably Jack.
