Just a few hours after Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee dropped a "Despacito" remix with Justin Bieber, the Puerto Rican singer surprised Bieberfans at the Canadian singer's concert at José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico Tuesday night. "Despacito. Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito / Deja que te diga coasas al oído / Para que te acuaerdes si no estás conmigo", he sings with raspy vocals. This is the 23-year-old's first time releasing a song in Spanish. This guy, thank you so much for letting me get on the record.
For his part, Fonsi took to social media after the show, writing, "Thanks for the invite to the show @justinbieber Fui a ver el show y termine arriba del escenario", and adding hashtags.
This was certainly the case for Justin Bieber bringing Luis Fonsi on stage in Puerto Rico. The song generated 20 millions views within 24 hours, making it the largest music video premiere of 2017 on the site so far.
On iTunes, the "Despacito" remix hit No. 8 on the USA chart by Tuesday.
"Despacito Remix" is definitely a win for Bieber, especially after he struck out in the Latin pop community after teaming up with J Balvin on the remix of his own No. 1 hit, "Sorry". The original version of "Despacito" is now number one on Billboard's Hot Latin Song chart, with more than 980 million views on the platform.
