I believe that as we remember with great thanks Christ's resurrection from the dead, this is something that we can be thankful for every day as we see a new day dawn and give witness to the wonder of God's creation in our lives.
Recognising the celebrations, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak took to Twitter today to wish Christians in the country a "Happy Easter". His coming to live on this earth was for the goal of living a ideal life, revealing God to man, dying on an old rugged cross for the payment of our sins and being raised from the dead so that we, you and I, could have our sins forgiven and be given the wonderful gift of eternal life.
Bell said Easter means a lot of things to a lot of people. "It's about the second chances for new life resurrection brings".
It is not His birth nor His death - although significant - that makes Jesus Christ unique. The belief that Christians have in Jesus' divinity is rooted in the moment of his resurrection. But it is more than a doctrine-it is wonderful good news, news that should fill us with joy, hope, confidence, excitement and celebration!
"The Easter egg is really an ancient symbol for Jesus resurrection", Wilson said. "Christmas and Easter give us full churches, sometimes overflowing", said Monsignor Michael Becker, pastor of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont. In a secular sense, Easter can represent putting away old, destructive ways to create a better world.
"They should feel welcome, so it's our job as a Christian body, for someone coming in for the first time, that that experience would be so powerful for them, that they would want to come back again", said Christian Life Church Elder Brian Scriven.
Jesus said to her, "Mary!"
"It's usually bigger than normal", Ledbetter, who has been an usher at the church for more than 20 years, said. Christ has died; Christ has risen; he died for our sins. "It's the most important time of the year".
The resurrection gave all of the covenantal events in the Bible objective, meaning, and fulfillment! "So we celebrate and mark the day with fellowship".
For those in the Eastern Orthodox Church, Easter Monday, also called Bright Monday or Renewal Monday, is the beginning of Bright Week.
