Over the past few days, we discovered that the coming Star Wars theme parks will offer adventures set in the new trilogy, including a planet not yet seen on screen.
So will Battlefront II have a season pass?
We don't have a season pass...
"In Star Wars Battlefront II, we all wanted to really capture the essence of being heroic and how in Star Wars, anyone can become a hero", says Matt Webster, Executive Producer at Criterion.
Why? Well EA tried that.
EA has yet to announce an alternative to its season pass system.
As for Finn's new mission, if you've been following rumors about The Last Jedi closely, then you already know at least some of what Finn's new mission entails. "Eh, I'd rather buy Infinite Warfare".
"I firmly believe that each generation needs to have their own piece of "Star Wars" and this show, for a lot of kids growing up with it, is as much a piece of "Star Wars" as any of the movies". And this was with an 89 on Metacritic and an 8.3 user score. During our sit-down with Diemer, the developer called 2015's franchise reboot "a good base that nailed the core gameplay", but admitted there were a number of things they wanted to "build on and improve". Time will tell if the game lives up to the now gargantuan hype and expectations, but what we saw and heard at the panel definitely has us excited. We want pay-to-win, we want loot crates, we want pricey DLC that contains what should have been in the game from day one.
However, he quipped that he has "short term memory loss" and "lost credibility with the public through social media because I lie all the time".
Still, from film to animated series to video game to theme park, Star Wars as entertainment provider has the power to surprise and shock and delight. But we've certainly nudged them in that direction, and EA's clarification has made it very clear that they aren't ready to make the same commitment they made with Titanfall 2 in regards to post-launch content.
"When we looked at the way Battlefront had evolved over its lifetime, with the DLC and everything, we decided, 'You know what?"
