Easter egg hunts planned around area

Egg hunts at Riverside Park Field: There will be 12,000 candy-filled eggs hidden around the field at 3300 5th Ave. for kids to find. Here's a list of the local Easter Egg Hunts we know of at this time. More than 2,500 eggs will be distributed on the grounds, and there will be a bounce house, fun games and giveaways for children. They will be divided into four age groups. Be sure to bring your own bag or bucket.

Delphos Wesleyan Church will hold their annual Easter Bake sale from 9 a.m.to noon on April 15 at Chief Supermarket. Every egg will contain goodies, and there are some golden eggs with special prizes.

On Saturday, the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center plans to host hundreds of kids up to age 12, who are invited to hunt for 8,000 eggs.

At "More Than An Easter Egg Hunt" kids will have the opportunity to hear the Easter story told by actors representing Bible characters.

This year's will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Goshen Golf Driving Range, just behind Culver's off Goshen Road.

The hunt begins at 1 p.m. for small dogs (under 25 pounds) and 1:30 for large dogs.

The egg hunt featured five different areas for children of all ages. The Easter Bunny usually makes an appearance, often via parachute, so bring a camera.

-Lewis Family Park, 1970 Tree Line Drive from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m. The Easter Bunny was on hand to greet kids and pose for a photo.

This is the second annual Helicopter Egg Drop for Connect Church that now meets at Wilson Central High School.

Egg Hunt at Modern Woodmen Ballpark: Baseball fans ages 14 and under can participate in an egg hunt on the ballfield before the QC River Bandits play the Kane County Cougars. To register, visit samdavishome.org.

In case of inclement weather, the egg hunt will be moved to Saturday, April 15, at the same time.

The McNeils, a family with 10 children, who are all talented and perform southern and country gospel, bluegrass and contemporary music, will begin singing around 6 a.m.
