The pressure is certainly on Arsene Wenger's shoulders to break our four-game losing streak away from the Emirates but I'm not expecting an easy game as Middlesbrough are fighting for their lives at the foot of the table.
The Arsenal board, according to British media, are divided over Wenger's future after the 3-0 defeat at Selhurst Park left the club sixth in the league, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City with a game in hand.
The fans love the club.
Arsenal should not change their wage policy in any new contract offer to Chilean star Alexis Sanchez, said beleaguered Gunners manager Arsene Wenger on Saturday.
He said: "The fans want to be behind the team and the way we respond on the football pitch will decide the attitude of the fans".
"Last week their team coach was delayed in traffic in south London, but I remember 10 years ago the Arsenal bus, en route to the Riverside, took a wrong turn and started heading towards Darlington".
ARSENAL: As mentioned by Wenger in the pre-match press conference, defender Laurent Koscielny and goalkeeper Petr Cech have a 80% chance of returning for Monday's match, while David Ospina and Lucas Perez remain on the sidelines. In this league, that really can be the difference maker.
Arsenal have only won one of their last five games in the Premier League.
"Even for important players, you can only pay as much as you can afford", Sport24 quoted Wenger, as saying.
"You ask again. Don't worry, you will get that soon". But competition for trophies is the key.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry admits he is fearful as to whether or notArsenal are still able to attract the biggest names in football. I accept the judgement of people and focus on the game. I can't see them getting in the top four.
Thierry Henry is anxious about how top players perceive Arsenal. I want to note that Arsenal in the second part of the season won only 3 wins in the championship, of which only 1 on the road, and it happened on January 14 over Swansea.
Henry is now an assistant to Roberto Martinez with the Belgium national side and a Sky Sports pundit.
However, he also maintains that the recent criticism of the Spain worldwide has been unfair.
"The impact of that (his future) I don't know". Needless to say, they need nothing but a win to be on the safe side.
NAIJ.com understands that the influential Sky Sports wouldn't stand in Henry's way if Wenger said yes. Success attracts top players.
