Russian Terminator shows off sharp-shooting skills

But Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin denied that the robot was anything like the human-killing robots in the Terminator films starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In photos and a short video shared on Twitter and Facebook, Rogozin showed the robot's new ability to fire a pair of pistols using both of its hands at a target board with impressive precision. It can also drive a auto and do press-ups, making people nervous despite Putin's assurance that the violent exercises are just part of the machine's decision making and coordination training. Combat Robotics is key to making intelligent machines. "Training in shooting is a way of teaching machines to instantly set priorities and make decisions", he wrote in Russian. Its uses include aviation and space. "We are not creating a Terminator, but artificial intelligence that will be of great practical significance in various fields". The robot was originally created with the objective to participate in rescue missions, but now, it has emerged that it might also be trained for military uses.

"The unmanned launch and autonomous flight of our new spacecraft will take place in 2021".

However, Rogozin - who accidentally shot himself in the leg two years ago according to the Daily Mail - said the trial was meant only to develop the motor skills of the FEDOR (Final Experimental Demonstration Object Research).

"Fedor" is the Russian version of the boy's name "Theodore", so it's definitely got a masculine, if somewhat nerdy, vibe.

This hobby may not be good for the politician's health.

Some social media users expressed concern.
