'Outlander' Season 3 Teaser Trailer Reveals Claire's Sixties Bob, War-Weary Jamie

"Outlander" season 3 will premiere this September.

According to Starz's official synopsis, as reported by Vanity Fair, the story will pick up from where it left off in Season 2 when Claire was forced to return to 1948 as Jamie had to prepare for an important battle and Claire was pregnant.

While Bree's real father is busy shooting at bewigged noblemen and wandering the moors looking bedraggled, we see Bree growing up happily oblivious with Claire and Frank, including scenes from her graduation ceremony and 16th birthday. Jamie has a tough go from the looks of it after the doomed last stand at Culloden and is determined to find his way back to his time-travelling bride who looks lovely with that bouncy Jackie O. bob. Claire will be featured with a grayish hair, however, she will look as if she hasn't aged a bit, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Actors Tobias Menzies, Caitriona Balfe, and Sam Heughan pose for a picture as the Television Academy Presents "Outlander" Panel Discussion at NYU Skirball Center on April 5, 2016 in New York City. She went back to her husband Frank (Tobias Menzies) and raised her daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton), for 20 years before going back to Scotland to learn that Jamie did not die at Culloden.

Thankfully (or sadly?), the wait is nearly over: the first new scenes in the trailer give us a sense of just how devastating the battle must've been, with Jamie waking up amongst the bodies of his fallen comrades on Culloden Moor.

Readers of the Outlander books will recognize several scenes from Voyager, the third installment in Diana Gabaldon's series and the basis for Season 3.

"'Outlander" season 3 is going to be EPIC. From Jamie's point of view, it's clear that the upcoming "Outlander" season 3 will reincarnate the relation of Jamie and Claire. And the question remains: when they find each other, will they be the same people who parted at the standing stones, all those years ago?

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of the first Outlander trailer? Production moved to Cape Town so they could commandeer the boats used by the Starz pirate series Black Sails.

Outlander will return this fall on Starz.
