Much talk ahead of the match was about Kane's return, and the English global would come off the bench in the second half.
Kane has been absent since he suffered ligament damage after just five minutes of Tottenham's FA Cup quarter-final against Millwall, on March 12.
There were reports in England this week to suggest that Kane was firmly ahead of schedule in his recovery programme and could make his return against Bournemouth next weekend.
The Tottenham manager is not afraid to use Kane from the start despite little training and said: "Maybe I am insane but you can not put a doubt on Harry Kane". Obviously it's good to have Harry back - I'd like to say that - but Sonny's done well and Vincent [Janssen] too, when he's come in.
Watford manager Walter Mazzarri said: "We started really well and were playing at the same level as Tottenham, who are a phenomenal side". - Action Images via Reuters/Paul Childs Livepic LONDON, April 9 - Mauricio Pochettino insists his Tottenham Hotspur side are building a winning mentality and will be ready to pounce if Chelsea stumble in the race for the Premier League title race.
"He's always desperate to play, he's always pushing you to try to let him train, play and score goals".
Spurs are the favourites to get the three points but its always hard to predict games in the Premier League and that's where Odinbet comes in.... The Hornets are above Swansea in the table, but are all but safe from relegation in 10th place, meaning motivation levels will be comparatively low, especially away against one of the best teams in the league.
Spurs equalled a top-flight record of 11 straight home wins in the league and they have won 13 of their past 16 Premier League matches.
"It's very good news Harry will be involved again and he's trained well in the last few days", Pochettino said.
"Now it's up to them (Chelsea) to win the league".
"For us it is now to be focused on the next game, that is most important to take it step by step because if not then you start to spend time out of reality".
"We are in a position that we need to do our job, winning games and put pressure (on). We are the closest team in the league to Chelsea - that is the reality".
